“Meditations in an Emergency” and the book of poetry that shares its title is read by Don Draper in this season’s first episode of Mad Men. It seemed to have a profound effect on him. He sent it to someone and signed the package as  “Dick”, Dick Whitman, the man who Don Draper truly is. Draper seems to be on his way to meet the person he sent the book to in the final two episodes of the season.
